Christmas is on its way!

With Christmas fast approaching us you are spoilt for choice of Christmas fairs and markets to visit in this beautiful area over the next few weeks. Start your Christmas shopping, sample local produce and i'm sure there will be an opportunity to meet Father Christmas on more than one occasion! Here is a small selection of some of the events taking place near Llandovery and in the surrounding Tywi Valley over the next few weeks. 29th Nov - Bethlehem Post Office are launching their hand stamp for Christmas, here's your opportunity to send your Christmas cards stamped from Bethlehem. The launch of the stamp coincides with Bethlehem Christmas Fair. 6 Dec - Myddfai Christmas Fair, Myddfai Community Hall and Visitor Centre Open 10am-4pm. Loads of stalls with handmade crafts, art & local produce. Free visitor entrance, festive refreshments available from the café. 6 and 7 December - Aberglasney Winter Fair, Aberglasney Gardens - 9.30am to 4.30pm. Wrap up warm, come and enjoy the spectacular magical setting of Aberglasney House and Gardens for the traditional Winter Fair. It’s one of the biggest events of its kind in Wales. The Fair has something to offer everyone, brimming over with unique Welsh hand-made crafts and gifts from leather goods, silver/gold/costume jewellery, wood, slate, children's books, art work, Christmas decorations and Teddy bears along with fashion and cookery gifts. 20 - 21 December - Christmas Food Fair, National Botanic Garden of Wales - A feast of the best festive food and drink from local producers who just love to please.
